All exercises undertaken in the previous puppy class are extended and consolidated; also specially designed for dogs too old to attend the puppy socialisation course, and with little or no previous training.

It prepares dogs for future classes by teaching basic obedience by means of fun recalls, fun obstacles and playing with toys.

Heelwork includes left, right and about turns with correct footwork.

Other topics covered include the comfort position and some handling, focus and attention, heelish (beginning of heelwork), sit straight, sit straight at heel, sit, down (from stand position) and stay.
